Default: Lob After Every Wall Ball

walllobreset

The Situation

You have just played a ball off the back or side wall.

What To Do

Default to a lob on the next shot unless you have a clear bajada opportunity. Never attempt a passing shot at pace from behind the wall.

Why It Works

After a wall play you are deep in court and off balance. A lob gives you time to recover your position โ€” it is the only responsible reset from that depth. Attempting a pass from behind the wall has a very low success rate and gifts the net pair an easy volley.

Court Positioning

Player at back wall โ†’ lobs high over net pair โ†’ time to move from back-corner position toward center baseline โ†’ both defenders reset to defensive base.
