Forehand Takes the Middle Ball โ Always
The Situation
A ball comes down the center of the court and both you and your partner could take it.
What To Do
The player with the forehand in the middle takes the ball. Agree on this before the match โ verbal or hand signal โ and never hesitate.
Why It Works
Hesitation on the middle ball is one of the most frequent sources of free points given away. The forehand is the rule because it allows more angle and more pace. Clear ownership eliminates the single biggest source of confusion at net.
Court Positioning
Center ball arrives โ right-handed player on left side takes it with forehand across body. Partner holds position. No hesitation, pre-agreed ownership.
